Open Marketing has been acquired by Bislr, a company that makes an integrated suite of software for intelligent website marketing. Priced at $499/month and up, Bislr makes it easy for a business owner or marketing manager to create websites, micro sites, landing pages, and lead nurturing campaigns through a set of drag-and-drop tools. No IT is required and the resulting websites, microsites, landing pages, and email campaigns confirm to best practices in responsive design and come optimized for search and social media.
Bislr received its angel financing from Tim Draper, Terry and Katrina Garnett, and Southern Cross Capital among others. The company was founded in Sydney, Australia by serial entrepreneurs Michael Sharkey (CEO), Peter Sharkey (COO), and Chris Sharkey (CTO) and then relocated to San Francisco. Clients include DocuSign, SolRepublic, Dovetail, and O&L Leisure.
Marcia Kadanoff, our CEO will be joining this leadership team as Chief Marketing Officer and will be taking a small team of people from Open Marketing with her to Bislr. At Bislr, Marcia’s responsibilities will be to build the Bislr brand, provide thought leadership, and create demand for Bislr among customers and agency partners. She will also spearhead all business development efforts until such time as a dedicated VP of Business Development comes on board.
